Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh,
North Carolina, on September 7, 1987. Her father Ira David Wood III is a stage
writer and actor, and her mother Sara Wood is an actress and acting coach. Her
brothers who are older than her are Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David Wood IV
who also have been actors. Evan and her brothers frequently appeared at Theatre
In The Park in Raleigh. Her father founded the theater and serves as its
executive director. At the age of five, she was screen-tested against Kirsten Dunst
to play the lead part in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles
(1994) following a lengthy audition process. Along with her mom and brother Ira
moving to Los Angeles in 1996. Since her arrival, she has had successes in TV
series, movies on TV, as well as feature films. She's appeared in Practical
Magic (1998) as well as in the comedic S1m0ne (2002) as Al Pacino's daughter.
She the film followed with Thirteen (2003) featuring Holly Hunter. Her breakout
performance as Tracy on "Thirteen" brought her an Golden Globes

Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008) earned her acclaim. Sara Wood and Ira
David Wood III are her parents. Ira David Wood III's younger sister. Dancer
trained. She enjoys to sing, do horseback riding, and rollerblade. She holds
the black belt in tae the kwon-do. Is still in touch with the majority of her
Once and Again (1999) co-stars: Mischa Barton, Julia Whelan as well as Shane
West.
